Oberlander Welcomes Veterans, Active-Duty Military to Breakfast
HARRISBURG – To show appreciation to veterans in the 63rd District for their service to the country, Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Armstrong/Clarion) is hosting a Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 9.
This event seeks to connect military members, veterans and their families to the variety of services available to them. They will also receive a legislative update on what is happening in Harrisburg and the district.
“These men and women deserve to be thanked and appreciated every day, and I am hopeful this breakfast is just a small way to show veterans we care,” said Oberlander. “Now more than ever, it is important to remember our freedoms and ensure that we do not take our way of life for granted.”
Oberlander’s veterans breakfast will be held at the Knox United Methodist Church at 9729 Route 338, Knox, from 9-11 a.m.
Oberlander asks veterans who want to attend to RSVP by calling 814-226-9000 by Friday, Nov. 3.
“I look forward to honoring these heroes, as well as their families, who have sacrificed so much for us,” said Oberlander.
